Functional Assessment

A basic functional assessment takes about an hour. I come to you and do a full oral, functional, and structural assessment and give referrals and recommendations as I see appropriate. This costs $150. Unlike the full consult, a functional assessment does not come with any hands on support (like help latching or pumping), a care plan, or distance followup.

This option is appropriate for people who already feel confident with their current feeding plan and support network and are just looking for a second, expert opinion regarding the need to see a provider who treats oral restrictions (tongue and lip ties). It is also appropriate for people who simply need a referral for a provider. A functional assessment is not a diagnosis. It is, however, a vital piece of information, for the diagnostic process, for any diagnosing expert.
