Full Consult

Home visits are the most popular option for a full consult. I come to you (within a large radius spanning the Triangle area), get a thorough history, do a full oral eval and suck assessment, work on latching, positioning, pumping, or any other skill you're struggling with, and make a care plan. I am interested in how I can support every aspect of your wants and needs. I will be thorough and take a functional medicine, holistic approach. In addition to pulling from a huge tool box built up by over a decade of experience, I am also very well versed in local resources and can make suggestions or referrals, as needed. A full consult is $200 and typically takes about 2 hours. Follow-ups are $150. Travel fees may be added if you’re outside of the formal Triangle area

I do not take insurance directly. You can find out if insurance will cover our visit through TLN by filling out this form (most often successful for BCBS and Cigna). I can also give you paperwork to file for reimbursement if it won’t be covered directly. I accept payment through most means (cash, check, digital, credit card, HSA, etc). It does include 3 months of email/phone follow-up.

Common reasons a person might want a Full Consult

  • Pain with feeding

  • Poor weight gain in baby

  • Concerns about supply

  • Feedings that are too long, too frequent, or both

  • Reflux due to air swallowing

  • Baby refusing the breast

  • Baby refusing a bottle

  • Preparing to return to working outside the home

  • Needing a plan for weaning

A full consult is the most popular option, as it addresses any interests, goals, or questions, regarding any member of the family, related to infant feeding. A full consult is going to include every aspect of the other services listed.
