Breastfeeding Basics for Birthworkers

There are many breastfeeding classes out there, but few are created just for birthworkers by one of their own. Primarily attended by doulas, this course is created and taught by a doula who is also an experienced IBCLC. Attendees will learn:

-How to help clients prepare for breastfeeding
-How birth affects breastfeeding
-Support measures immediately following birth
-Setting up for success
-What is within the range of normal
-Common complications and support measures for them

Designed for doulas, this $50 experience will focus on taking a support role in the natural course of breastfeeding by preventing, identifying, and providing resources for resolution of problems. Spend 3 engaging hours filling your "breastfeeding bag" and making connections to expand your community. Benefit from a year of email mentoring following the workshop.
